TRAINING PROGRAMME ON “MUSHROOM CULTIVATION”

Description: The Department of Botany organized one day training programmed on “Mushroom Cultivation” on 1st April, 2023. Principal of the College, Faculty members from other department and faculties of the host department were present. All the 6th semester students and farmers from adopted village of the college were actively participated in the training programmed. Dr. Sandeep Das, Professor and Head, Dept. of Biotechnology, Bodoland University was delivered his lecture on mushroom cultivation as a Resource Person. During the programme, he explained about the various types of mushroom, their importance, cultivation process, spawn production technique by tissue culture, production of value added products from mushroom, about entrepreneurship scope of mushroom. There was also a hands on session on Mushroom cultivation.
