WORKSHOP ON “ORGANIC FARMING”

Description: A one day long workshop on “ORGANIC FARMING” was organized on 29th September, 2023. Dr. Arup Kumar Deka, Head, KVK, Howly was invited as Resource Person for the programme. Total 122 students of every semester and farmers from adopted village of the college were participated in the programmed. He delivered his talk on concept of organic farming and its various advantages, its types, Indian scenario and World scenario of organic farming etc. From this programmed the students able to know conventional agriculture and advantages of organic farming like reduction of soil erosion, less pesticide uses and enhances soil fertility. He also mentioned the advantages of organic farming in maintenance of environment by reducing the level of pollution and in keeping agricultural production at a sustainable level.
