Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)of B. H. College has been established in the college as per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines. IQAC has become an integral part of the institution’s system and dedicated towards the realisation of the institutional goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The IQAC was established in B. H. College on 1st July, 2003 during its preparation for the first cycle of NAAC assessment with Prof. Sushanta Dutta as the first coordinator.
When it comes to how the institution understands the concept of "Quality Assurance," the founding of IQAC has been a turning point. In addition to undertaking a number of quality assurance tasks, the IQAC at B.H.College also succeeded in developing the institution into a ICT enabled one with automation in many areas like office management, library management, learner management, admission process, Grievance management, etc.
Some others significant contributions of IQAC include:
Implementation of SSS on curriculum and other aspects.
Introduction of a well-structured student mentoring system.
Introduction of numbers of Add on certificate courses.
Enhancing ICT enabled teaching learning and evaluation.
Moving the institution into a techno safe one.
Goals of IQAC
The primary goals of IQAC are:
• Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is to develop a system of conscious, consistent and catalytic action to build and ensure a quality culture at the institutional level.
• The IQAC is meant to plan, guide and monitor the academic and non-academic initiatives to be undertaken by different bodies for Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) at the college.
• Develop future plan for academic excellence and stimulating institutional growth.
