Celebration of Sanskrit Divas

Description: The Department celebrated 'World Sanskrit Day' on 19th August, 2024 at Seminar Hall of B.H College, Howly. The world sanskrit day was celebrated at the shravana purnima tithi every year. On this day, department organized a 'Sloka Recitation Programme' among the Students. There are several students participated in the competition and three contestants were selected as first, second and third position winners. Through the chanting of sanskrit sloka students improve their cognitive functions including memory, verbal and spatial reasoning and overall brain function. Prof. Ranjit Bhuyan, Vice Principal of B.H. College, Dr. Dipmoni Das, Head of English Department, Nayan moni Hazarika, Head of History Department, Dr. Renu Hazarika, Head of Assamese Department, B.H. College and all the faculty members of Sanskrit department and History department were present in the Programme. The programme was held in a beautiful manner.
